Central heating

Heating rooms in a house using electric fires is expensive. A gas fire is generally cheaper to operate but there needs to be a gas or electric fire in eacah room of the house.

Heating a house using radiators or underfloor heating in each room is more efficient. Radiators should have a reflecting surface behind them to minimise heat loss through the walls.
