Land Use
Land use is an important topic. Areas containing woods and forests absorb the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It would be logical to increase the number of trees around the planet!
But huge areas of woods and forests are being destroyed, partly for the wood and partly for the land.
It appears that changing land use may have as much of an impact on climate change as greenhouse gas emissions! (BBC, 2002)
