United Kingdom Energy Usage
Energy consumption in 2001 was higher than in any other year over the last thirty years. Overall energy consumption for energy use in the UK has increased by 13 per cent since 1970 and by 11 percent since 1990.
The total primary energy consumed in the UK in 2010 was 218.5 million tonnes of oil equivalent. This was a 3% increase on the previous year although 2009 was the lowest level of energy consumption for 20 years.
