The Atom
Atoms are the basic building block of all matter. A molecule is a collection of atoms and molecules form most of the objects that exist.
Each atom consists of three basic particles:
protons - these are positively charged particles
neutrons - neutrons are neutral, they are neither negative nor positive
nucleus - the nucleus of the atom consists of the neutrons and the protons
electrons - electrons are negatively charged and they circle the nucleus
