Bioenergy
Bioenergy simply refers to the energy held with biomass material. There are different ways of extracting and using this energy. The simplest way is to burn biomass.
The UK is investing in bioenergy and the BBSRC Sustainable Bioenergy Centre (BBSR) was launched in January 2009 with the aim of replacing petrol with fuel derived from plant material.
